*WOW* The stage for young creatives

 The third*WOW* in Meissen.

*THE STAGE FOR YOUNG CREATIVES*

April 20, 2024, starting at 2:30 p.m., Soziokulturelles Zentrum "Hafenstraße" e.V., Meissen

Exchange, experiment, perform—let's get started with round three of our program for creative young talent in and around Meissen. Now in its third year, *WOW* is once again giving children and young people of all ages the opportunity to showcase their talents on the big stage, thanks to the City of Meissen, Hafenstraße e.V., and Atelier.Hof. The countdown to the application deadline has begun.

Are you young and creative and want to share your talents? Then present yourself or your group at *WOW* in Meissen!

Have you written, rehearsed, practiced, or created a work of art? Then feel free to show it on our stage or exhibit it with us.

To participate, simply send an email to wow@stadt-meissen.de by March 11, 2024.

What should your email contain?

– your name, the name of the group

– your contact details and a brief description

– What are you doing?

– How many are you?

– How long is your contribution (5 to max. 30 minutes)?

It is important that you are available on April 20, 2024, from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. so that you have the opportunity to get to know others and are flexible about the performance time that is planned for you.

If there are too many applications, a jury will make a selection. After the application deadline, you will receive a message with your exact soundcheck and performance time at Hafenstraße e.V.

Would you like to participate in the exhibition?

Then take photos of your creations and send the photos and your contact details by email to

wow@stadt-meissen.de

If your artwork is selected, simply bring the original picture to Hafenstraße e.V. (time to be agreed). We would be delighted if it is at least A4 size and already framed. (If not, don't worry. The main thing is that you are creative.)

This year, the city of Meissen is promoting itself under the slogan "Meissen – naturally beautiful." Feel free to use this as inspiration for your painting, drawing, or photography.

However, you are of course welcome to draw on all your resources and apply with any other topic.

Stage:

If you apply with your program for the stage, we have another little highlight for you: If you are selected for the *WOW*, you can also show off your talent on the small stage at the Meissen Art Festival on the first weekend in May, if you wish.

Don't forget to invite all your friends to come and watch. As always, admission is free! In addition to your own presentation, you will have the opportunity to meet many creative minds from your local area on the day. Last year, 150 children and young people took part. You might even find new friends and contacts for your next project here – and you'll definitely find an audience to impress!
